This is where salvage yards remove the useable parts from the vehicles and resell them at a less expensive rate to individuals and manufacturers. The automotives are stored in neat stacks and placed in an inventory list so that they can be easily found in the future. They get the motor vehicles from owners who don’t want to either spend the time or money to fix their old cars. They first start by accessing the cars to see what parts in it may be able to be used again. This is done by mechanics that are trained and can determine this. After this the simple parts like the mirrors and windshield are first taken out and stored. They move unto the major parts like the engine and test it and remove it if it passes the test.

The parts are then placed in showrooms so that they can be viewed by the customers. These parts are also recorded into a database that can be viewed not only by the other salvage yards in Utah but also in other states in the nation. The rest of the vehicle is either sold for scrap metal or if it is done there it’s moved to that department. The salvage yards that performs these tasks have to get a special license so as to make sure that they are following the laws that were laid down where this industry is concerned. The license is not only for Utah but also for the other states that do this. These parts can be bought on the internet through many websites and also by the individual visiting the yard. Some might think that this is more efficient but the same things that you would do at the yard you can do online. For instance, if you wanted to compare prices, this can be done by viewing different sites.
